Maize Genetic Markers Mapped to Rice Pseudomolecules
The high-resolution maize genetic maps IBM2 2005 Neighbors and cIBM 2005 were obtained from MaizeGDB. Sequences of the markers were retrieved from GenBank and searched against the Rice pseudomolecules. Only markers that are at least 70% identical to the rice genome over 70% of their length, or that contain 150 bp aligning without gaps to the rice genome were taken into account. A total of 1640 out of 3134 markers on the cIBM 2005 map and 16386 out of 42355 markers on the IBM2 2005 Neighbors map aligned to the TIGR Rice pseudomolecules, Release 5. Syntenic blocks were determined by calculating the colinear order of the maize markers on the maize IBM2 neighbor map and on the Rice pseudomolecules.
Maize-Rice Synteny Figures Synteny figures derived from the alignment of the maize markers of the IBM2 2005 Neighbors map or the cIBM 2005 map to the TIGR Rice pseudomolecules, release 5.
